General situation:

I have a long arm stump and require a wiggle free and if possible service free quick release wrist that features a hollow center area (which is where my pin / pin lock takes up space).

Road map:

The first version (crown type lock) was extremely simple, it was manufactured very fast and worked very well once one got used to the unique type of lock. I wore that Feb 09 to now and had no problems with it.

Current update version:

This works similar to a modern drillhammer drill-lock/drill-release mechanism. After all, the guys that built it build locks like that for a living.

We built the latest version with an intentional little wiggle so we could see areas/regions of overload faster. Next revision problemlist already nearly done. Still work in progress.

Once all troubleshooting and revisions are done, plans/ details how this works are going to be published. Then there will be an option to get the CAD plans and there also will be an option to order the manufactured finished product.

I assume this is in line with the way Open Prosthetics is supposed to function.

I also wondered whether fixing up the Trautmann hook design with some useful spring mechanism and putting that up would be cool - but that depends a bit. The STL file seems to lack one finger.
