Handwriting / painting - specific hook

I recently got an old very light weight Hosmer hook with dedicated angles and grooves made specifically for hand writing, painting and other calligraphic entertainment requiring to hold a pencil like item at the right angle. What an item! Personally I find this tops just about any other terminal device that I have for office work.Being a semi professional cartoon artist and avid artist for india ink drawing and paintings before my disability, and being an irreversible right dominant hand…See More

After playing with my myo arm and other prosthetic arms (I mostly use a body powered arm), I found that wrist adaptations are underused. Here are my thoughts for developing a better wrist control strategy. --------------------------------------------------------------------Controlling a wrist does not have to be performed willfully. Handwriting / painting - specific hook

Ossur Upper X Silicone Liners

With my Ossur Upper X liners always after a few months the textile gray fabric comes lose and detaches from the silicone. That usually marks the death of these liners as it is hard if not impossible to keep that lose space clean. Dirt accumulates, detachement advances and mold grows. Humidity does not evaporate and the liner gets yucky. 

Ossur told me to tell my technician. So I did. And my technician just sells me a new one and nothing has been understood or properly taken care of.…

Hi Wolf, it's not a gripper or a hand as such, it's an arm that uses light as feedback for touch and other external changes. The socket is open at the sides to feel less restrictive.
