From what I have read about you the T-Hook design it looks like the prototypes have been made out of metal for obvious strength reasons.I was wondering if someone with the 3D files was able to run it though any stress software and figure out what loads we might be expecting?I am looking to plastics as being a possible material for the T-Hook for a low rate initial production.  The reason I am looking at plastics is that is what I have experience working with and once a mold is made it is easy…See More

Invented by J.H. Kosek and Raymond B. Trautman in 1925, the Trautman was popular mainly in the agricultural communities of the Midwest US up to and following the end of its production roughly 20 years ago. We'd like to help bring it back.

Fabrication and materials are an important part of the art of prosthetics. A good technician can make or break the success of a fitting, and a knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of materials is key.
