Ken,
This is a very good question. Stainless Steel is heavier than titanium, but the reason I want titanium is due to its unbelievable strength to weight. It is very durable for long term use. I ultimately think that if the APRL shell and some of the internal parts were titanium, they would never need replacing due to wearing out. And considering the cost of this device, I would pay many times more for a tool that will last. Right now the cast aluminum one that I have now, has gone up in price by more than 33%. From $950 to $1300. Nothing about this device has changed over the last 60 years. Now is the time. If you have anything to offer, please, I would love to hear about it. I am looking forward to someday working this out.
Thank you for your input,
Darryl
