Prototype of socket produced on Makerbot

This is a 1:1 scale model of a trans-tibial socket produced in 16 pieces so as to fit within the limited build platform of an open-source rapid prototyping machine (Makerbot). The pieces were glued together and the outside was re-enforced with a layer of fibreglass. Its not the prettiest thing in the world but It's a good proof of concept
