I lost my right arm above th elbow and most of my shoulder function 6 years ago.
Because of other injuries, I was not able to use a prosthetic early on.
I used a socket and harness with myoelectric elbow, wrist, and hand. An awsome peice of equipment.
But.
Isnt there always a but ?
The user interface is the "but" in my case.
# I sweated to the point where the socket slid all around until the myo wouldnt work.
# I dont have time to spend 10 minutes everytime i want to put it on/off.
# I dont like the rash.
# It is a bitch to get dressed with it on.
So. Enough sooking.
I work fulltime in IT' and live a full life without a right arm at all.
I would like to discuss Ossieointergration.
Would it assist me ?
I incured a trashed left shoulder at the same time, so am thinking that an arm i can use will help take a bit of the load off it.
Cheers, David :-)
